On August 28, Xiamen Airport's T3 terminal officially opened a new waiting area, further enhancing its service capacity. The area spans approximately 2,600 square meters and includes four new boarding gates (22, 23, 25, and 26) flanking the sides, with 552 passenger seats available, 92 of which are equipped with multiple charging ports for free use. Xiamen Airport has also extended the public area opening hours to 24 hours, with the free overnight rest area in the T3 terminal now upgraded to accommodate 60 lounge chairs and seats, up from 28. Additionally, the free shuttle service between the T3 and T4 terminals has extended its operating hours from the previous 22:10 to 00:10 the following day, providing greater convenience for transit and nighttime travelers in Xiamen.
