Xiamen International Marathon Race
Xiamen International Marathon Race is the only international marathon race held in spring in China, the only marathon race held on the coastal racing track, and the one honored as a "golden running race of International Association of Athletic Federations (IAAF)" by IAAF.The racing track of Xiamen International Marathon Race is one of the most beautiful racing tracks in the world.
Cross-Strait (Jimei) Dragon Boat Cultural Festival
Jimei dragon boat racing has a long history. Mr. Tan Kah Kee held the first dragon boat racing, thus making the dragon boat racing of China transform from a folk sports game to a competitive sports. Held on Dragon Boat Festival for many years, now it has become a brand event of Jimei District and the city name card of Xiamen, as well as an important platform to closely connect people on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.
International Triathlon
"Triathlon" is an event combining open water swimming, road cycling and marathon, which has a long and difficult schedule, and also imposes near-stringent high standards for the host city. Xiamen is blessed with a beautiful environment, pleasant climate and unique natural conditions, known as "Oriental Hawaii". Xiamen also boasts a good foundation for mass sports and good conditions for hosting a "Triathlon". After a rigorous inspection process, Xiamen became the first city in China to sign the contract in 2015.
Xiamen-Kinmen Cross-strait Swimming Race
Xiamen-Kinmen Cross-Strait Swimming Race is a swimming race jointly organized by Xiamen and Kinmen governments on the two sides of the strait, and planned and operated by Xiamen Culture Media Sports Co., Ltd. The Race is held in every July and has been successfully held for 9 sessions so far. Xiamen-Kinmen Crossing serves not just as a professional sports activity. Its rich supporting activities provide a platform for interaction and exchange for the majority of swimming enthusiasts. A number of cross-strait activities turn the event into an annual high-end sports and cultural festival on both sides of the strait.
