The planned area totals 37.4 square kilometers, including four major industrial parks.
1. Haicang Port Area specializes in trunk-road container transportation and transshipment in sea-railway combined transport. It also fosters port-related industries and is vigorously developing bonded, modern logistics, and shipping services.
2. Dongdu Port Area maintains container transportation and is developing international cruise ships and cross-strait roll-on/roll-off ships. It is also vigorously developing modern logistics and shipping elements aggregation service functions.
3. Xiang'an Port Area: With its unique deep-water coastline, which is rare in Xiamen Port, Xiang'an Port Area is strategically positioned as a regional sea, land, and air integrated transportation hub.
4. Qianchang Logistics Park: The primary functions include facilitating the connection of ports, developing sea-railway combined transport (including the China-European Railway Express), and improving supply chain logistics, bulk commodity trading platforms, and intercity distribution.
