Xiamen University
Xiamen University, founded in 1921 by the renowned patriotic overseas Chinese Tan Kah Kee, is one of the 45 higher-level universities in China designated for both the "211 Project" and the "985 Project" – projects to cultivate national key universities and world-class universities respectively.
Xiamen University has set up over 160 research institutions, including four State Key Laboratories, two National Engineering Laboratories, and one State Engineering Research Center. Its Science Park is the only national university science park in Fujian Province accredited by both China's Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Education.
Xiamen University has cooperated with over 300 overseas universities and made substantive exchanges with 47 foreign universities that rank among the top 200 in the world. The university vigorously promotes the campaign of teaching Chinese as a foreign language worldwide by co-establishing 15 Confucius Institutes with universities in North America, Europe, and Africa.
Currently, Xiamen University's three campuses cover over 600 hectares with a constructed area of 1.4 million square meters.

Xiamen University of Technology
Founded in 1981, Xiamen University of Technology, as its name suggests, aims to help students gain knowledge and skills for real world success through competency-based and industry-informed learning. It offers 56 undergraduate and graduate programs to approximately 21,000 students, including international students from more than 10 countries.
XMUT has a diverse group of faculty members with abundant industry experience or overseas study/work experience to ensure that the students are exposed to an industry-informed learning environment with latest knowledge and information of the related industries.
XMUT covers an area of 128 hectares with a building area of 500,000 square meters and its library houses 1.84 million paper books and 5.32 million e-books.
A wide range of exchanges with 54 universities from more than 20 countries, including the US, the UK, Canada, and Singapore, has been conducted by XMUT over the past years.

Jimei University
Jimei University, a provincial key university located in Xiamen City, Fujian Province, is jointly constructed by the Ministry of Transport, State Oceanic Administration, Fujian Provincial Government and Xiamen Municipal Government. It offers doctorate degree programs and is authorized to enroll postgraduate candidates exempt from admission exam and enrolls students from all over the country.
Jimei University has over 27000 students where more than 25600 are full time undergraduate students and over 1400 are master's degree or various postgraduate program students. There are about 600 overseas students in the University.
Jimei University has a total 2300 faculty and more than 1,500 full time teachers, among them more than 800 are professors and associate professors. The University has a high-level teaching and research team, including 39 professors who enjoy the State Council Special Subsidies, 1 awardee of the National Millions of Talents Project and 12 Distinguished Professor's Award in Minjiang Scholar's Program.

Huaqiao University
Founded in 1960, Huaqiao University is the first higher education institution to be named Huaqiao (meaning "overseas Chinese") with the approval of former Chinese Premier Zhou Enlai. Dedicated to recruiting students from abroad, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, HQU aims to spread traditional Chinese culture and cultivate students of both Chinese and foreign cultures.
Nearly 200,000 students of all levels have graduated from the university since its establishment, most of which have become envoys of friendship who work to promote communication and cooperation between China and other countries.
HQU has 25,124 full-time undergraduates and 5,802 graduates (including 401 doctoral students and 5,401 postgraduate students). HQU is one of the top destinations for overseas students in China.
HQU employs 2,665 remarkable teaching and auxiliary staff, including 1,787 full-time teachers, 6 academicians, a number of scholars supported by the Recruitment Program of Global Experts, National High-Level Talents Special Support Plan and other projects, and over 400 scholars receiving China's State Council Allowance.
HQU has two campuses, covering a total area of 2,147,800 square meters, among which 1,058,800 square meters are occupied by buildings. The university has more than 4,422,000 copies of books and other materials.

Xiamen International School
Xiamen International School, established in August 1997, is a not-for-profit, independent, co-educational day school that offers a high quality American and international curriculum in English for expatriate students Pre-K to Grade 12.
XIS supports over four hundred and forty students from thirty-five countries. The current facility, opened in August 2002, includes over fifty classrooms, a gymnasium, library, science labs, and cafeteria, as well as a soccer field, running track, tennis courts, and an indoor swimming pool. The school is located in a suburb of Xiamen, a twenty-minute commute from the center of the city. Public transportation makes the school accessible from all areas of the city.
XIS has an international staff of more than ten nationalities with over sixty percent having postgraduate degrees and certifications. The average number of years of teaching experience is more than 12.

Concordia International School of Xiamen
Concordia International School of Xiamen (CISX), the third international school in Xiamen, opened its door on September 1st 2017.
The school is designed for foreign children whose parents have residence permits in China. It caters for about 1,000 students, who will be enrolled in all grades from kindergarten through to grade twelve.
It is the only true All-American International School in Xiamen. Its curriculum is aligned with the American Common Core Standards.
CISX is associated with the Concordia Educational System with over 2600 schools worldwide, including the Hong Kong International School, Concordia International School Shanghai, and Concordia International School Hanoi. All of the Concordia schools are known for offering excellent, holistic education to students.
