Xiamen City Museum
Xiamen Museum is an important local comprehensive museum which is devoted to collecting, protecting, studying and exhibiting the valuable antiques, especially the ones from Fujian and Taiwan provinces. It is established for the purpose of exhibiting the cultural history of China in an exact, realistic and direct way, and enabling visitors to get to know the local historical development of Xiamen and indulge in its stately and abundant culture.
Kulangsu Piano Museum
Located within Shuzhuang Garden, Kulangsu, Xiamen Piano Museum is shaped like the piano keyboard. The two-part museum (Museum I and Museum II) showcases more than one hundred vintage pianos collected from around the world by the patriotic overseas Chinese Hu Youyi. Among the exhibits are a rare gold-plated piano, the world's first rectangular piano, the world’s oldest and largest upright piano, an ancient hand-operated piano, a century-old foot-pedaled automatically-playing piano, and an ancient piano with eight pedals. The tinkling sound of pianos adds to the romantic atmosphere on Gulangyu, an island famous for its musical heritage.
Xiamen Olympic Museum
This is the first Olympics-themed museum in China approved by the International Olympic Committee and Chinese Olympic Committee. It keeps a rich collection to show the Olympic spirit, i.e., to stay healthy and positive.
Kulangsu Gallery Of Foreign Artefacts From The Palace Museum Collection
It is the first thematic branch of the Palace Museum set up locally. The exhibition hall now displays 195 pieces (sets) of cultural relics, mainly including lacquer ware, porcelain, glass ware, enamel ware, metal ware, furniture, clocks and watches, scientific and technological instruments and other categories, which come from Britain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Russia, Czech republic, Japan and other countries and regions. The exhibits are not only of high artistic value, but are also a witness to the cultural exchanges between China and foreign countries.
Banlam Grand Theater
Banlam Grand Theater is an international top-class performance venue of highest grade with most complete functions and largest scale in Fujian Province. The theater continuously produces various first-class performances with great artists and first-rank art troupes from home and abroad engaged. Exporting Southern Fujian local arts while introducing top-class performances of home and abroad, the theater becomes a bridgehead of the exchange of culture and art across the strait and among the world.
Cangjiang Theater
As the 10th theater of the directly managed theaters affiliated to China Arts and Entertainment Group, Cangjiang Theater delivers mainly dramas and stage plays, with traditional operas, chamber music, child plays, and small and medium concerts as complementation. The performance area contains stage for performances, catering facilities and museums, and various cultural activities are also held in this area.
Kulangsu Concert Hall
Completed and put into use in February 1987, Gulangyu Concert Hall is an important place for reception of classic music performances. Many art organizations from Japan, the US, Romania, Philippines, Singapore, Russia and Croatia, and symphony orchestras have give performances here. More importantly, concerts held at regular time, generally at 19:30, are free accessible to the public.
Tan Kah Kee Theater
Tan Kah Kee Theater produces various high-art performances including concerts, child plays, operas, acrobatic shows, ballets, music dramas, stage plays, and magic shows. It is considered a high art cultural exchange platform across the strait by introducing plays and dramas via the Poly theater resources which integrate first-class building facilities, art activities and management mechanism.
