Recently, the "Revised Xiamen 5G Mobile Communication Infrastructure Plan (2024-2035)" (referred to as the "Plan") was issued and implemented. The Plan is aligned with the "Xiamen Territorial Spatial Master Plan" and outlines a comprehensive layout for the city's 5G mobile communication infrastructure. It serves as a guide for advancing the construction of Xiamen's 5G infrastructure, which will effectively support the development of a digital Xiamen. The Plan, building on its previous version, is directed by the "Urban Territorial Spatial Master Plan," "Detailed Plans for Various Planning Units," and "Telecom Operators' Business Development," further optimizing the city's 5G infrastructure layout. The Plan proposes the construction of 2,713 new macro base stations by 2028, aiming to achieve full 5G signal coverage across Xiamen, thereby supporting the city's development of new industrialization, IoT, AI, and other emerging technologies and services, and stimulating new economic growth.
