Xiamen boosts low-altitude economy

The year 2024 is considered the inaugural year of the low-altitude economy, an integrated economic model driven by various low-altitude flight activities of manned and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), stimulating related industries. From an industrial perspective, the low-altitude economy has a broad scope, with key products including eVTOLs, drones, helicopters, and general aviation aircraft. As a representative of new productivity, the low-altitude economy boasts a long industrial chain and extensive influence. In Xiamen, drones are integrated across various industries, from logistics, transportation, and emergency response to agricultural protection and surveying, encompassing both consumer-grade and industrial-grade UAVs, thus promoting a diverse array of "low-altitude economy plus" scenarios. Xiamen is currently advancing its science and technology innovation projects, accelerating the transition to new growth drivers, and actively integrating into the new development landscape. The low-altitude economy, characterized by high technological content and concentrated innovation elements, is expected to contribute to the optimization and upgrading of Xiamen's industrial structure.
