Recently, Xiamen provided an interpretation of the province's first specialized policy for the gaming industry—the "Siming District Measures to Promote Gaming Industry Development." The measures outline seven support initiatives aimed at boosting the industry's growth by encouraging companies to increase investment in research and development and expand their publishing operations. The policy is designed to comprehensively support the development of the gaming industry and incentivize game companies to launch new titles. Additionally, the construction of a gaming industry park in the Kaiyuan Innovation Community is progressing smoothly. Once completed, the park will address the issue of insufficient development space for gaming companies and, through cluster development and demonstration effects, continuously improve the gaming industry ecosystem and attract gaming talent to Xiamen. Currently, Siming District is home to 147 gaming companies, accounting for 60% of the city's total, and in 2023, the district's gaming companies generated 78% of the city's gaming industry revenue.
