Recently, Xiamen Products Quality Supervision & Inspection Institute's project to construct a "High-Energy-Density New Energy Battery Key Laboratory Crash Test Facility" was approved, with an investment of 210.22 million yuan to build this state-of-the-art laboratory. The project will leverage the technical capabilities of the Jimei Testing Base of the Xiamen Products Quality Supervision & Inspection Institute and plans to construct new facilities, including a crash test platform laboratory building, a battery safety performance laboratory building, and a motor performance laboratory building, with a total area of 22,552 square meters. These facilities will provide more comprehensive and accurate services for power battery testing. Crash testing plays a critical role in evaluating the safety of power batteries. In the future, by utilizing the crash test platform of the High-Energy-Density New Energy Battery Key Laboratory, the entire power battery testing chain will be fully integrated, enhancing testing capabilities and technological levels, thereby solidifying the laboratory's leading position in the new energy field and providing robust technical support for industry development.
