The 24th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) will be held in Xiamen from September 8 to 11. On July 17, the CIFIT Organizing Committee held a promotional event in Guangzhou, warmly inviting industry leaders from around the world to join this premier event for promoting bilateral investment.
Nearly 100 international guests attended the promotional event, including consuls general, acting consuls general, and representatives from official investment institutions and business associations from 43 countries and regions, such as Hungary, Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, Pakistan, Spain, and Russia.
According to the organizing committee, this year's CIFIT will center around the theme "Invest in a Shared Future" and will support the Global Development Initiative. The event aims to maintain the stability and smooth flow of industrial and supply chains, using bilateral investment promotion to aid global economic recovery. Key topics will include "Invest in China," "China Investing Abroad," multilateral and bilateral trade exchanges, expanding financial investment, promoting global practical cooperation, digital economy, and green development, striving to create an international platform for bilateral investment.
Hungary, the guest country of honor, and Zhejiang, the guest province, both presented investment opportunities at the event. Hungary will showcase its national pavilion featuring investment opportunities, logistics systems, automotive industry, agricultural products, and other innovations. Zhejiang Province will set up a 720-square-meter pavilion to highlight its achievements in openness and development and host a cross-border company networking event.
This year's CIFIT will cover an exhibition area of about 120,000 square meters, divided into three thematic pavilions: Investment Promotion, Industry Innovation and Development, and Project Capital Matchmaking. These pavilions will showcase the development achievements and investment environments of various countries and regions, as well as China's advancements in fields such as artificial intelligence, information technology, new energy and materials, ecological protection, biomedicine, and supply chain innovation.
The event will feature a series of international investment promotion activities, including the Foreign-Invested Enterprises Roundtable, Gulangyu Night, 2024 Global Alliance of Special Economic Zones Exchange, International Cooperation Forum for National Economic and Technological Development Zones, "Invest in China" series activities, and China-US state and provincial trade cooperation exchanges. Authoritative reports such as the "2024 China Foreign Investment Statistics Bulletin," "Country Development Report of Chinese Enterprises," and the "2024 China Bilateral Investment Report" will also be released.
In terms of project matchmaking, a 26,000-square-meter Project Capital Matchmaking Pavilion will be set up to enhance the effectiveness of the fair. This pavilion will feature an open main stage and designated zones for specialized and innovative enterprises, hidden industry leaders, and national economic and technological development zones, strengthening the exchange and matchmaking functions. The goal is to create a comprehensive public service platform for investment promotion, integrating exhibitions, investment presentations, project roadshows, matchmaking negotiations, cooperation signings, and report releases.
