The Xiamen Port Multimodal Smart Logistics Center (Houjing Logistics) project has recently been approved by the provincial government. Covering a total area of 33.147 hectares, it is the largest logistics warehousing land approved in Xiamen in recent years. Located in the Haicang Park of the Xiamen Area of China (Fujian) Pilot Free Trade Zone, the project will involve leading domestic and international port and shipping logistics investment and operation companies. The project plans to construct a multimodal smart logistics park integrating functions such as sea-rail intermodal transport, a modern logistics center, a global container dispatch center, an Asia-Pacific transshipment base, a service trade supply chain base, and a comprehensive support area. The approval of this project will further address the shortcomings of sea-rail intermodal transport in Xiamen Port, promote the development of international transport service trade, and enhance the reach and efficiency of its logistics network.
