Entering July, various exhibitions are flocking to Xiamen. According to incomplete statistics, more than 15 different types of exhibitions, including those for power grid equipment, lighting, and animation, are expected to take place this month.
Recently, the Third Xiamen International New Power Grid Equipment Exhibition was held at the International Convention and Exhibition Center, focusing on new distribution grids, new energy storage, and new energy materials. It provided exhibitors and buyers with a professional platform for brand promotion and trade expansion. The 2024 Xiamen International Lighting Exhibition will be held from July 17-19 at Hall A2 of the Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center, covering an exhibition area of 20,000 square meters and attracting over 500 exhibitors from home and abroad. The 2024 Xiamen International Construction Machinery and Auto Parts Exhibition & Wheeled Excavator Equipment Expo will take place from July 18-20 at the Xiamen International Expo Center, showcasing the latest technologies, products, and solutions in construction machinery and heavy truck accessories. Additionally, about 10 animation-themed exhibitions will be held in Xiamen this month.
The exhibition industry is a barometer of the economy. Since the beginning of this year, Xiamen's exhibition industry has continued to heat up. From January to May, Xiamen hosted 64 exhibitions, covering an area of 955,000 square meters, a record high and an increase of 76.54% year-on-year. The city also held 1,704 meetings with a total of 315,000 attendees, up 3.72% year-on-year, achieving economic benefits of 11.71 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 37.68%. Among these, 29 large-scale exhibitions exceeding 10,000 square meters included the 24th Xiamen Stone Fair, the China Feed Expo, and the Xiamen Industry Exposition.
According to the plan, in 2024, Xiamen will strengthen cooperation and exchanges with international exhibition organizations and well-known exhibition enterprises, attract more internationally renowned exhibition projects and resources, and strive to achieve the annual target of 3 million square meters of exhibition area.
