Recently, the "Xiamen High-Level Sports Events Subsidy Management Measures (2024 Revision)" was issued, accelerating the city's goal of becoming an "international sports city." The measures specify that subsidies apply to various high-level sports events held in Xiamen. For international sports events signed with international sports organizations to be held in Xiamen for more than three consecutive editions, and other high-level international sports events held in Xiamen, each edition can receive up to 5 million yuan and 3 million yuan in subsidies, respectively, if they meet the conditions. National sports events, “Belt and Road” and BRICS sports events, cross-strait sports events, and other high-level sports events held in Xiamen that have independent brands, high social attention, large market potential, and promising development prospects can each receive up to 2 million, 1.5 million, 1.5 million, and 1 million yuan in subsidies per edition, respectively. The measures will be implemented starting July 1, 2024, and will be valid for three years.
