The 19th Sudirman Cup World Mixed Team Badminton Championships will be held from April 27 to May 4, 2025, at the Fenghuang Gymnasium in Xiamen. The Sudirman Cup is the highest-profile, highest-level, largest, and most influential international badminton competition ever held in Fujian's history. It is also the most prestigious among the six international A-level sports events hosted by Xiamen. The choice of Xiamen for the Sudirman Cup is not only due to its strong badminton culture but also its world-class venues, vast sports market, and comprehensive event reception capabilities. In recent years, Xiamen has accelerated its development as an "International Sports City." The Xiamen Marathon has become a popular event for runners, and with the completion of the Egret Stadium, Fenghuang Gymnasium, and White Dolphin Swimming Hall, Xiamen has hosted two Diamond League events and the Asian Women's Football Olympic Qualifiers, accumulating rich experience for hosting the Sudirman Cup.
