With the Paris Olympics approaching, the "Olympic Economy" continues to heat up, driving a surge in sports goods exports from several Xiamen enterprises. According to Xiamen Customs, from January to April this year, Fujian Province exported 4.279 billion yuan worth of sports goods and equipment, a year-on-year increase of 13.34%. Treadmills and badminton or similar rackets are the leading products in Fujian's sports goods exports, with 330 million yuan and 215 million yuan exported respectively from January to April, accounting for 7.72% and 5.01% of the province's total sports goods and equipment exports for the period. The "Olympic Economy" has also spurred the development of cross-border e-commerce in Xiamen, with the city’s import and export value through cross-border e-commerce supervision platforms reaching 10.64 billion yuan in the first quarter, a year-on-year increase of 117.8%, marking the highest level for the same period in history.
