On May 28, Xiamen Mayor Huang Wenhui met with the Governor of the Hungarian National Bank, György Matolcsy, and his delegation. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Hungary, highlighting the long-standing friendship between the two peoples. Xiamen and Hungary share many commonalities, have strong economic complementarities, and possess broad prospects for cooperation. Xiamen is willing to work with Hungary to earnestly implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of both countries, further deepen and expand friendly exchanges and mutually beneficial cooperation between Xiamen and Hungarian localities, and contribute more significantly to the development of the all-weather comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Hungary in the new era. György Matolcsy expressed his gratitude for Xiamen's warm reception, highly praised the city's remarkable achievements since its reform and opening-up, and stated his anticipation that this visit would further enhance mutual understanding, explore cooperation potential, and promote complementary advantages and win-win development between the two regions.
