It was announced that the 2024 China Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival and the 37th China Golden Rooster Awards Ceremony will take place in mid-November 2024 in Xiamen. Since settling in Xiamen in 2019, the festival's professional standards have continuously improved, establishing the "Golden Rooster plus Xiamen" as a new benchmark in the film industry. It has become the most professional, effective, and influential film festival in China. The film industry in Xiamen is flourishing, making film an important cultural symbol of the city. Xiamen currently hosts over 2,400 film and television companies, nearly 200 filmmakers' studios, and about 20 film shooting bases and industry parks. Each year, more than 100 film crews shoot in Xiamen. The city continues to increase its support for the development of the film and television industry.
