Recently, Xiamen was recognized as one of the top ten "Most Livable" cities in the "China Beautiful Life Cities" ranking. Out of over 20 satisfaction indicators related to city governance and social services, Xiamen excelled in nine. The city surpassed the national average by more than three percentage points in healthcare services, legal environment, and education quality. Six indicators showed significant improvement over the previous year, including satisfaction with parks/green spaces and legal environment, both of which increased by more than seven percentage points. Other areas such as convenience of life and government efficiency also performed well. Survey data from 2023-2024 indicate that happiness levels in Xiamen are the highest, exceeding the national average by 14 percentage points.
