Recently, the Xiamen Marine High-Tech Zone welcomed its first resident office, the Xiamen Marine Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources. The center is set to fully leverage its functional roles and locational advantages to boost the management of marine natural resources within its jurisdiction and to better serve the local marine ecological civilization and marine economic development. The Xiamen Marine High-Tech Industrial Park is currently the first and only provincial-level marine high-tech zone in Fujian Province, covering a planned area of about 10.27 square kilometers located on the axis connecting Xiamen, Zhangzhou, and Quanzhou. The park aims to build a "6+2" industry system centered around marine high-tech industries, enhance scientific research and industrialization capabilities, and establish three major research platforms. The Xiamen Marine High-Tech Zone strives to become a model for innovation, a magnet for talent, and a leader in the industry with unique characteristics, aiming to set new standards and support points for marine economic development.
