Xiamen announces 39 initiatives to facilitate cross-border trade

On May 9th, the Xiamen FTZ Administration Committee, Xiamen Customs, and the Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Commerce jointly held a press conference on Xiamen's special action to promote cross-border trade facilitation and the support policy for highly certified customs enterprises. During the meeting, the "2024 Xiamen Action Plan for Facilitating Cross-Border Trade" was released, proposing 39 tasks in six areas, including innovations to enhance the efficiency of the entire import-export chain, further optimization to facilitate trade for emerging foreign trade industries, robust support for the integration of service and goods trade, enhancement of port informatization and intelligence, coordinated regulation and reduction of taxes and fees in import-export processes, and improving satisfaction levels among businesses and the public. Xiamen, a benchmark city in optimizing the business environment, participates for the third time in this pilot program aimed at facilitating cross-border trade, having launched 58 initiatives over the past two years with significant success.
