In the first quarter of this year, Xiamen hosted exhibitions covering a total area of 361,400 square meters, a 271.6% increase compared to the same period last year; the economic benefits of the exhibition industry reached 5.379 billion yuan, up 70.28% year-on-year. From January to March, the city hosted 28 exhibition events, including the 24th Xiamen International Stone Fair, which covered an area of 191,000 square meters, 10% more than in 2019 and setting a new historical high. Xiamen hosted 947 conferences with a total attendance of 187,600 during the quarter. The successive hosting of exhibition events has continuously injected strong momentum into the high-quality development of Xiamen. This year, Xiamen will also promote the development of other exhibitions by holding the Xiamen Top Ten Brand Exhibitions, and further implement the "Exhibition plus Industry" strategy to support industry development through the exhibition platform.
