Fitness equipment such as treadmills, rowing machines, and exercise bikes manufactured in Xiamen are exported to over 100 countries and regions worldwide. In the first quarter of 2024, the export volume of fitness equipment from Tong'an District showed steady growth. The latest statistics indicate that the annual sports consumption scale of Xiamen residents exceeds 16.5 billion yuan, with a nearly 40% increase in per capita sports consumption over the past three years, accounting for over 7% of the per capita living expenditure of residents in the city, ranking among the top in major cities across the country. Over the past 20 years, Xiamen has nurtured a fitness equipment industry worth tens of billions, with this year's output value reaching 52.8 billion yuan.
