On March 19th, Xiamen's Deputy Mayor Zhuang Rongliang welcomed Steffen Metzger, a member of the Heraeus Group Management Board and the head of its global Semiconductor and Electronics Business Division. Zhuang expressed that Heraeus's core business sectors align well with Xiamen's industrial development trajectory. He hopes for strengthened cooperation in areas like third-generation semiconductor materials, smart sensors, and healthcare, with aspirations to establish high-end manufacturing and R&D centers in Xiamen. Steffen Metzger remarked that the Chinese market has always been a high-growth area for Heraeus. The decision to invest in Xiamen was motivated by the city's promising semiconductor industry ecosystem and business environment.
