On March 10th, the high-end vacation cruise ship "Mediterranean" from AIDA Cruises arrived in Xiamen with 1,669 passengers and set sail for Ishigaki, Japan, on March 14th. This marks the first international cruise to visit Xiamen this year and the inaugural voyage of the "Mediterranean" cruise ship from Xiamen as its home port, signaling the full recovery of Xiamen's regular international cruise home port operations. With the strong rebound of cruise tourism this year, five international cruise ships, including the "Mediterranean," plan to visit Xiamen, operating 28 international voyages in total. International cruises are set to become an important facet and highlight of Xiamen.
