On February 14th, Xiamen Airlines will inaugurate the first direct chartered flight route from Fujian to the Maldives, allowing passengers to fly directly from Fujian to the Maldives without transfers, significantly reducing travel time between the two destinations. In addition to the inaugural flight, Xiamen Airlines will also operate direct chartered flights from Fuzhou to Malé on February 18th and 22nd, creating a "Silk Road in the air" between Fujian and the Maldives. In January of this year, the President of the Maldives, Mohamed Muizzu, visited China, with his first stop being Fujian. To respond to the significant consensus reached by the leaders of China and the Maldives and to further promote trade investment, cultural tourism, and other exchanges and cooperation between the Maldives and Fujian, Xiamen Airlines is actively promoting direct flights between Fujian and the Maldives.
