On January 18th, 30 lithium battery electric buses were successively loaded onto the Hong Kong-registered bulk carrier "Han He" at the Dongdu Terminal in Xiamen, destined for Jebel Ali Port in the UAE. This shipment marks Xiamen's first export of lithium battery new energy vehicles via bulk carrier this year. As a crucial maritime hub for exporting new energy products from Fujian Province and even nationwide, Xiamen Port exported 85,000 new energy vehicles in 2023, a tenfold increase from the previous year. Lithium-ion battery exports reached 38,400 TEUs, growing by 30.84%, both setting new records. The export of these "new three items" has become a bright spot in Xiamen Port's maritime economy.
