Xiamen Port elevates east-west international mainline services with new initiatives

On January 13th, Xiamen Port celebrated the commencement of its 2024 operations with a New Year Sailing Ceremony. A notable highlight was the launch of the "Caribbean Express Line," one of the fastest sea routes from Xiamen to the U.S. East Coast, marked by the departure of ZIM's vessel "SPYROS V" from Songyu Container Terminal. Exclusively operated by ZIM on a weekly schedule, the route offers the quickest direct shipping services from Xiamen to key destinations like Cartagena in the Caribbean, Lazaro Cardenas in Mexico, and Boston and Baltimore in the U.S. This route significantly reduces transit time by more than 7 days compared to other similar services, showcasing a substantial advantage in efficiency. The "Caribbean Express Line" is set to greatly enhance the quality of Xiamen Port's east-west international mainline services, rapidly delivering more Chinese products to one of the largest e-commerce hubs on the U.S. East Coast – Baltimore, thereby providing robust support for the global reach of Chinese manufacturing.
