On January 9th, the 2024 ABB Electrification Innovation Week was held in Xiamen, where ABB unveiled the world's first solid-state circuit breaker compliant with the IEC 60947-2 standard. The Swiss Ambassador to China, Jürg Burri, attended the event. Compared to traditional circuit breakers, ABB's solid-state breaker detects and responds to short-circuit faults 100 times faster and has a lifespan 100 times longer. ABB, a leader in electrical and automation technology, established its first joint venture in China in the Xiamen Torch Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone in 1992. Over the past 30 years, ABB Group has established a close and fruitful partnership with Xiamen. The ABB Xiamen Industrial Center has become one of ABB's most important manufacturing bases globally.
