Starting December 1st, China has implemented a unilateral visa exemption policy for ordinary passport holders from France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and Malaysia. During the period from December 1st, 2023, to November 30th, 2024, travelers from these six countries visiting China for business, tourism, family visits, or transit for up to 15 days can enjoy visa-free entry. As of 5 PM on December 6th, over 1,100 travelers benefiting from this visa exemption policy have visited Xiamen. The city has direct flights to Paris, Amsterdam, Kuala Lumpur, and Penang, and as a designated "International Comprehensive Transportation Hub" of China, Xiamen boasts high-quality and efficient regional maritime, land, and air hubs, including a cruise home port.
