This year marks the tenth anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative. Over the past decade, Xiamen's Municipal Bureau of Commerce has deeply integrated itself into the Belt and Road Initiative, promoting close economic and trade exchanges with participating countries and developing mutually beneficial cooperation. In these ten years, Xiamen has reaped bountiful fruits in foreign trade, foreign capital attraction, and overseas investment with Belt and Road countries. The trade volume with these countries increased from 24.8 billion USD to 50.9 billion USD, with an annual growth rate of 8.3%. Recently, Xiamen's Municipal Bureau of Commerce has actively encouraged eligible enterprises to establish "overseas warehouses" in Belt and Road countries. In 2022, Xiamen's imports and exports to these countries reached 330.79 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 12%. Over the past decade, Belt and Road countries have established 728 foreign-invested enterprises in Xiamen, with a contracted foreign capital of 3.526 billion USD and actual use of foreign capital of 1.07 billion USD.
