On October 10th, the cruise liner "Blue Dream Star" embarked on its inaugural expedition from Xiamen, setting sail toward Subic in the Philippines. Notably, this Philippine voyage also marks the debut of the first "Belt and Road" initiative route departing from domestic shores since the reinstatement of international cruises. This momentous occasion signals the genuine and much-anticipated revival of Xiamen's international cruise market. Commencing this month, a cascade of voyages, namely "Xiamen – Subic, Philippines – Xiamen," "Xiamen – Okinawa, Japan – Xiamen," and "Xiamen – Jeju, Korea – Shanghai," will sequentially be launched, encompassing a total of 12 sailings. The rejuvenation and flourishing of international cruises will encounter a plethora of opportunities, further invigorating the profound integration of port and city, thereby catalyzing the high-quality development of Xiamen port.
