The Ministry of Commerce has recently showcased its roster for the 2023-2024 key enterprises and projects in national cultural exports. Out of the 367 enterprises recognized for this tenure and the 115 selected projects, Xiamen proudly claims 14 enterprises and 5 projects. Since Xiamen's recognition as a national cultural export base in 2017 — an initiative introduced by the Ministry of Commerce — the city has persistently ventured to promote its cultural goods and services on the global stage. In 2022, Xiamen's cultural import-export volume impressively hit 10.097 billion yuan. On another positive note, Fujian province has released its updated list of cultural industry model bases for 2023, adding eight from Xiamen, which now totals an impressive 23 provincial cultural model bases.
