On August 1, Xiamen Port signed a cooperation agreement with PSA International, officially establishing a friendly port relationship with Singapore Port. To date, Xiamen Port has established 17 international friendship port relationships. Singapore Port, managed and operated by PSA International, is a key component of the "Belt and Road" initiative and ranks second worldwide for container throughput. Both parties are committed to deepening cooperation in launching new routes, enhancing shipping frequency, and improving cargo transportation convenience. Currently, Xiamen Port operates 38 Southeast Asian container liner routes, out of which 10 pass through Singapore Port. This arrangement forms a robust foundation that will potentially intensify the comprehensive cooperation between the two ports.
