Recently, the General Office of the Xiamen Municipal People’s Government issued the "Key Points for Digital Xiamen in 2023," proposing 33 key tasks in three aspects. It includes promoting the effective implementation of national reform pilot tasks, accelerating the construction of a data resource system, and strengthening the construction of digital infrastructure. Meanwhile, it emphasizes accelerating the innovative development of the digital economy, including improving the top-level design of digital economic development, advancing the digital transformation of industries, launching actions to support the growth of high-quality enterprises, and fostering an open and interconnected digital ecosystem. In terms of solidly promoting the implementation of key tasks, the "Key Points" clearly stated that the construction of the city's "Urban Brain" will be accelerated and put into use, creating new growth poles for the digital industry, and planning a batch of "Brain+" innovative applications. Among them, in building new growth poles for the digital industry, Xiamen will vigorously develop information technology innovation, accelerate the development of emerging industries such as the metaverse, and strengthen the ecosystem of the information technology application innovation industry. The rapidly growing digital economy has become an important driving force for Xiamen's development. The “2023 Xiamen Municipal People’s Government Work Report” pointed out that in 2022, the scale of Xiamen's digital economy exceeded 450 billion yuan.
