The COSCO SHENG SHI Pure Car Truck Carrier (PCTC) embarked on its maiden voyage on the evening of July 9th from the Xiamen Ocean Gate Container Terminal, marking the commencement of the esteemed "China - Europe" liner shipping route. This route marks a significant milestone as it is the inaugural PCTC liner route to Europe for China's own-brand automobile fleet. It is noteworthy to mention that all of the 2,561 brand-new cars loaded on board at the terminal are manufactured by Chinese brands. Among them, 1,818 vehicles are new energy cars, all manufactured in Fujian. In the first half of this year, nearly 40,000 cars have been successfully exported from the Xiamen Ocean Gate Container Terminal. With the recent launch of the "China - Europe" liner route, the terminal is poised to stride toward its annual target of over 100,000 exported cars.
