Xiamen Port achieves record high in export of new energy vehicles

On May 28th, the roll-on/roll-off vessel "Ji An Fei Cui" loaded with 3,061 MG vehicles departed from Xiamen Modern Terminal and set sail for Bristol Port in the United Kingdom. Xiamen Port has achieved a new milestone this year with the export of over 43,000 new energy vehicles, which is five times more than the previous year's total exports. This achievement has established Xiamen Port as a significant maritime hub for the export of new energy vehicles not only in Fujian Province but also across the country. Over the past few years, Xiamen has made significant improvements to its port and shipping infrastructure, resulting in a more attractive business environment. As a result, many companies in the new energy vehicle sector, including CATL, CALB, and Hithium, have chosen to establish their operations in Xiamen, making it their preferred starting point for product exports.
