As the free trade agreement that covers the largest population with the largest trade scale in the world today, the RCEP (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership) has brought tariff concessions and other preferences that continue to offer significant support to companies. As of April 23rd, Xiamen Customs has issued 24,000 RCEP certificates of origin, with the total value of goods exceeding 10 billion yuan. With a RCEP certificate of origin, export enterprises are expected to enjoy tariff reductions of over 100 million yuan in the importing country. As the policy gradually manifests benefits, trade between companies within Xiamen Customs Jurisdiction and RCEP member countries has experienced a steady increase. Since the RCEP took effect in January 2022, the export volume of enterprises within Xiamen Customs Jurisdiction to RCEP member states has reached 359.462 billion yuan by the end of last month, representing a remarkable year-on-year increase of 20.80%.
