On March 13th, the establishment ceremony of the Xiamen Urban Talent Alliance ("Alliance") was held. The newly established Alliance will attract and gather more international talent resources and innovative entrepreneurial elements, laying a talent foundation for high-quality development. Currently, the first batch of the Alliance has gathered 92 key enterprises and 11 scientific research and education institutions, covering Xiamen's "4+4+6" modern industrial system such as electronic information, mechanical equipment, financial services, biomedicine, and new materials. Based on the establishment of the Alliance, Xiamen City has opened its first "International Talent Recruitment Window." On the same day, Xiamen City released the "2022 Xiamen Talent Enterprise List," and 80% of the listed enterprises are members of the Alliance. Up to now, Xiamen City has attracted 36,000 returnees to innovate and start businesses, and the number of overseas talent per ten thousand permanent residents ranks among the top in the deputy-provincial-level cities, injecting new vitality of overseas talent for promoting Xiamen's high-quality economic development.
