The 2nd Gigabit City Summit Forum held in Xiamen

The 2nd Gigabit City Summit was held in Xiamen on Feb. 15-16, with guests from government authorities, basic telecommunication enterprises, equipment manufacturers, research institutes, and other parties from across China in attendance to discuss the development of China's "dual-gigabit" network and applications. The Summit featured one main forum, one achievement exhibition, six sub-forums, and the launch of the second "Guanghua Cup" Gigabit Optical Network Application Innovation Competition. Xiamen has been actively engaged in the construction of gigabit cities. It utilizes the window period to accelerate the layout of new digital infrastructure and development of the digital economy, to speed up the construction of application scenarios in various industries and fields, while also firmly supporting the digital transformation of the city and the development of the digital economy. Xiamen is dedicated to building the demonstrated digital city and is eager to contribute Xiamen's strength to the construction of a powerful network country and digital China. It has been reported that a total of 110 cities in China have reached the standard of gigabit city, and Xiamen was selected as part of the second batch of gigabit city list.
