First BRICS cargo routes opened

On February 10, Ethiopian Airlines Flight ET3743, carrying 96.1 tons of cargo, took off from Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport and flew to São Paulo, the largest city in South America, marking the official beginning of the all-cargo route from Xiamen to São Paulo, Brazil. This is the first South American cargo route opened in Fujian Province and also the first BRICS cargo route opened by Xiamen Airport. The route mainly exports various cross-border e-commerce products, pharmaceutical products, high-tech products, integrated circuits and other high-value-added goods. Xiamen has insisted on promoting the construction of the BRICS innovation base, supporting the opening of BRICS airlines, and encouraging more international cargo airlines to land in Xiamen. So far, Xiamen Airport has established five major channels through Europe, Africa, Australia, North America and South America, and the Xiamen International Aviation Hub has taken shape, providing a strong boost to Xiamen's international economic and trade exchanges and development.
