On January 25, the world's largest container ship MSC MIA visited Xiamen Port. As long as 399.9 meters, the ship has a container capacity of 23,000 TEUs and can handle 3060 TEUs. During the Spring Festival, Xiamen Port was still busy receiving containers from ships of MSK, MSC, ZIM, YML, and other well-known shipping companies. The container throughput is expected to reach 125,000 TEUs. The Songyu Container Terminal is a deep-water terminal of Xiamen Port specially built for large container ships and runs restless all year round.
