Results of Xiamen's outbound investment in 2022 released

Xiamen has witnessed growth in outbound investment for two consecutive years. In 2022, Xiamen registered 130 investing companies out of China, with a YOY increase of 2.4% compared with that of 2021 and 13% over 2020. China's contracted foreign investment stood at USD 1.511 billion, up by 2.3% over 2021 and 42.4% over 2020. Fields of outbound investment mainly include non-metallic smelting, mining, wholesale and retail and business services. Investment in "Belt and Road" nations has also significantly increased in the same period, with the contracted foreign investment reaching USD 1.030 billion, 53.9 times that of 2020. Capital increases and M&As have become the dominant force to boost the increase in outbound investment. Meanwhile, the BRICS Base and commercial efforts empower each other. The investment project of the Marine Silk Road Fund can produce remarkable benefits in terms of policy and economy.
