Xiamen Port witnesses sailing of first new ship route in new year

The first new ship route to the Philippines set sail on January 4 from Xiamen Port. This marks the 97th route from Xiamen Port to the port of a RCEP country. The opening of more routes will form a better bond between Xiamen, surrounding areas, and the Philippines in terms of trade, which will facilitate the export of more made-in-China products and the import of more stone and agricultural products from the Philippines to China's market. The opening of the new route will further Xiamen Port's quality-based implementation of RCEP and boost the high-quality development of the "Belt and Road" initiative. Xiamen Port has become a critical container pivot port along the southeast coast of China.
