Dutch QuaTerNes Group plans to build a regional headquarters in Xiamen

Recently, the International Food Ingredient Collection and Distribution Center of QuaTerNes Group (Xiamen), located in Maluan Bay New Town, has successfully begun construction. The total investment going into this project is 870 million yuan, and it is planned to be completed in 2024. This is the first time that QuaTerNes Group has made its way into the Fujian province, and plans to build its southeast regional headquarters in Xiamen. According to the director of the project, this construction project will cover an area of nearly 100,000 square meters, with a total construction area of about 125,000 square meters. In addition, there will be three main functional centers, which include the international food ingredient circulation and processing center, a smart storage and sorting center, and a new energy collection and distribution center, and there will also be a food safety and big data center. After being completed, its annual trade volume is expected to reach 2.5 billion yuan. Its annual cargo throughput will be about 80,000 tons, which will create about 500 new jobs. This project carries great significance for the area to build a modern logistics industry system, and is expected to promote Xiamen's high-end cold chain industry, fresh food trade, and other related sectors.
