The Xiamen Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology recently announced the list of 30 key laboratories recognized by the Xiamen government in 2022. These laboratories can benefit from favorable policies either at national, provincial, or municipal levels. Of the 30 labs, 15 are based in enterprises, accounting for 50 percent of the total, and bringing the number of enterprise-based key labs from 24 to 39. While providing new theories, products, and technologies for the technological advancement and industrial development of Xiamen, those key labs also beef up Xiamen's originality and innovation capability and realize technology-driven industrial upgrade and economic development. They will remarkably improve the core competitiveness of the city.
