In the 2021 China Biotech Innovation Conference held on November 3, the China National Center for Biotechnology Development under the Ministry of Science and Technology announced the "Ranking of National Biomedical Industrial Parks 2021". Xiamen Bio Bay ranks tenth in the comprehensive competitiveness list, marking its first presence in the top 10. Regarding other lists, Xiamen Bio Bay ranks fourth in the cooperative competitiveness list and tenth in the talent competitiveness list. In addition, Xiamen Bio Bay is also rated as one of the three most featured medical apparatus and instrument parks in terms of differentiated development. In 2021, the biomedical industry of Xiamen witnessed a total industrial output of 98.77 billion yuan, up by 27% YOY; a total value of exported COVID-19 test products exceeding 20 billion yuan, accounting for around one third throughout the nation; an export turnover of parks up to 47 billion yaun, up by 120% over 2020.
