Xiamen's special channel for Internet data went into operation on September 30 after the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology's approval. This special channel is Fujian's first high-speed channel directly linked with China's Administration of International Communications Gateway. For the first time, a data channel has adopted the "1+2+N" mode (collectively applied through the municipal-level authorities, with Xiamen Pilot Free Trade Zone and Xiamen Torch Development Zone for High Technology Industries at its core, covering multiple industrial parks under their jurisdiction). This will provide high-quality and affordable communication services for enterprises within the industrial parks, boosting Xiamen's efforts to build a demonstration city for innovation in development of digital economy. This special channel will greatly improve Xiamen's communication service capabilities for international financial services, cross-border e-commerce, cross-border logistics, transnational manufacturing, and international cultural exchanges. It will provide strong support for enterprises in the industrial parks in attracting high-quality international capital, expanding their markets overseas, and accelerating their internationalization.
