The recently released "Xiamen Logistics Special Plan (2020-2035)" stipulates that land specified for logistics use will prioritize the introduction of large-scale logistics complex projects. The plan proposes that the total scale of logistics land use in the city should approximately hit 11.74 km2-17.62 km2 by 2035, and the land specified for logistics use should prioritize introducing large-scale logistics complex projects, such as projects concerning procurement and trade, logistics distribution, and regional headquarters to attract human, logistical, and capital resources. The plan is aimed to build Xiamen into an international logistics hub and a key logistical city on the southeastern coast.
