A total of 65 Xiamen-based companies are on the fourth national list of technologically advanced "little giant" companies which was released recently, making Xiamen top the chart in Fujian. From the perspective of industrial distribution, these 65 companies on the list are engaged in computer engineering, electric engineering, special equipment, software, and information technologies. Data shows that these 65 companies own 1,242 class I intellectual properties and saw a total business revenue of 18.063 billion yuan in 2021, up by 39.25% on a YOY basis. Their total input in research and development in 2021 was 1.528 billion yuan, up by 36.79%. By now, Xiamen has cultivated 31 state-level and 144 provincial-level technologically advanced "little giant" enterprises, accounting for 47% and 50% respectively of the province total. The city also has 1,027 city-level technologically advanced "little giant" enterprises.
