China’s first “Digital Craftsman” talent development base for industrial Internet will be settled in Huli District, Xiamen. Jointly built by China Academy of Industrial Internet (CAII) and other relevant authorities, the base will cultivate ten thousand “digital craftsmen” talents catering to next-generation information technologies, high-end equipment manufacturing, strategic and emerging industries, and digital transformation of traditional industries. In 2022, China will face a talent gap of 1.68 million in industrial Internet. The base will rely on the qualification and resource advantages of CAII in digital talent cultivation, focus on the features of local industries, and carry out digital talent review, practical training course development, talent training & certification, and talent matchmaking for suppliers and demanders, thus further improving the city’s capability in the supply of digital talents.
